Modern Tech, Kinder Care
Technology in an orthodontic office is only worth talking about if it changes what the visit feels like or what the result looks like. All four of these do.
01
Digital Radiographs
X-rays tell us what a visual exam cannot: where the roots sit, which adult teeth are still under the gum, and how the upper and lower jaws relate to each other. A panoramic image captures the whole mouth in a single pass, and a cephalometric view shows the jaws and the profile from the side.
Because the images are digital rather than film, they appear on screen within seconds. That matters less to us than it does to you. It means you look at your own X-ray alongside the doctor during the same appointment, rather than hearing a summary of something you never see.

02
3D Scanning
A handheld scanner replaces the impression tray. No material in your mouth, no gagging, and a three dimensional model of your teeth on screen within minutes. Past the comfort, a digital scan is more accurate than an impression, and once we have it we can reuse it without bringing you back in.

03
3D Printing
The scan becomes a physical model on our own printers, in our own offices. Printing in house is the difference between designing something and being able to make it the same week. It also means that when a plan needs adjusting, we adjust it ourselves rather than submitting a change and waiting in someone else's queue.

04
SB 3D In-House Aligners
SB 3D is our own clear aligner system, and it is the reason the first three items on this page matter. The scan, the printer and the fabrication are all ours, so for many of our patients the aligners are designed and made in the same building where they are fitted.
For more extensive cases we use 3M Clarity Aligners. Both options are available at all six offices.
