Clear Aligners

We offer two clear aligner options: our own SB 3D In-House Aligners and 3M Clarity Aligners.

The Aligner Process

Clear aligner therapy uses a series of custom-made, transparent plastic trays to gradually shift your teeth. Because they are removable, they offer a flexible approach to orthodontic care that fits seamlessly into your daily life.

  • Digital Scanning: We start with a quick, comfortable digital scan of your teeth. No messy putty impressions are required.
  • Custom Treatment Plan: Our doctors map out the exact movements of your teeth, ensuring a precise and efficient treatment path.
  • Gradual Progression: You change to a new set of trays on a doctor-set schedule, advancing you closer to your final smile.

Our Aligner Options

Our in-house system and 3M Clarity Aligners give the doctors two ways to match clear aligner care to the case.

SB 3D In-House Aligners

Our signature clear aligners are designed and fabricated in our own offices by the same orthodontists who oversee your care, using our own 3D scanner and 3D printer. Almost no orthodontic practice makes its own aligners. Making them locally means there are no manufacturer shipping delays and keeps costs lower.

3M Clarity Aligners

We use 3M Clarity Aligners for more extensive cases, at all six of our offices. This respected global system is known for advanced materials and precise digital planning. It is used mainly for adults, though on occasion we use it for teens as well.

Daily Aligner Use

Developing good daily habits is the key to clear aligner treatment. Consistency is essential.

Wear Time

Your aligners must be worn for 20 to 22 hours every day. They should only be removed to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush or floss your teeth.

Aligner Changes

You will change to a new set of aligner trays on a doctor-set schedule, continuing to progress through your treatment plan.

Regular Checkups

You will come into the office for checkups every six to eight weeks so we can monitor your progress and ensure everything is moving correctly.
